Physics is at the Root of the World
One of my guiding principles: The world is complicated and the rules governing the functioning of the world certainly are not linear. Physics is the science of theories that describe the world. Never forget that the good theories are sufficiently accurate to describe what is of interest, but no theory is absolutely correct. — Consider terrestrial mechanics: Newtonian or classical mechanics is sufficiently accurate for most every day purposes. Newtonian mechanics theory fails if the velocities approach the speed of light, or if the object of interest is of atomic dimensions, to list just a couple of cases. None of today’s electronic gadgets, such as smart TV or cell phones, could have been developed with classical mechanics.
Here is something I have repeated many times: If the theoretical prediction contradicts the experience the theory is wrong.
